David Aronson - filmmaker

Born and raised in Maine USA, David always aspired to filmmaking. Taking an unconventional road, with a degree in Medieval history, he gained direct film experience in Los Angeles.

David worked as everything from a PA on a cheap horror set, to writing, directing, producing, and many hours editing his own shorts, including “I like 2 Draw” a grant finalist for the From the Heart Foundation.

After writing Cold cash in 2002, David relocated to Maine in order to independently produce the script. David is currently still in Maine and continues to generate new material.

I like to draw - short film

Sitting in traffic on the freeway is always a frustration experience.
But sometimes, you look up and spot a bit of artwork on the back of the truck in front of you, or nested in a corner of a concrete bridge, or you see the marks of the truly bold on the back of a billboard, and that frustration can be eased a bit.

Rarely though, is the painter behind the vandalism considered. Odd when often it is clear not only hard work, but years of practise and talent are poured into these illicit murals. “I like to Draw” briefly tells the story of one such unsung artist in his own words.
